克利夫顿出生于西澳大利亚州的德韦林厄普，她的艺术之旅始于对陶瓷的热爱。在大学陶瓷系担任技术员期间，她亲眼见证了该系购置第一台玻璃熔炉。这一关键时刻激发了她的好奇心，并引领她踏上了探索玻璃制作领域的道路。

克利夫顿的艺术美学深深植根于陶瓷，并与她非传统的玻璃制作和概念艺术手法完美融合。这种独特的融合使她在艺术界赢得了鲜明的个性声誉。

Clifton has exhibited and worked extensively throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and USA. She was previously the president of Ausglass (National Association of Glass Artists), and now a co-founder of Glass Manifesto, a creative partnership between her and Peter Bowles.
