    Ira Volkova

    Ukrainian artist Ira Volkova is well-known for her hyper-realistic yet ethereal paintings of flowers, in particular, pink peonies.

    With over twenty years of creative experience, Volkova seamlessly creates astonishing large-scale oil paintings.

    During the Covid pandemic Volkova took up running as a hobby. She now enjoys running through the Botanic Gardens for inspiration, it is here she allows herself time to take in the beauty of nature and her surroundings.

  • Delicate Technique

    Utilising a combination of acrylic and oil paint, Volkova paints in thin layers with great precision and attention to detail.
    She is inspired by the 17th Century Flemish painters that painted with astounding delicacy and technique.

    The final result are beautiful compositions that are able to capture the natural beauty of her flower studies.

  • International Recognition

    Volkova is a fine art graduate of the Kharkov Art College and the Kyiv National Academy of Fine Arts, and currently lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine.

    Her paintings can be found in notable public and private collections, including the collection of several Presidential Administration dignitaries during their official visits to Ukraine, and in the collections of several Ukrainian celebrities.
