Australian-based artist Lauren Wilhelm draws continual inspiration from history, classical portraiture, and the world around her. Fascinated by the overlooked narratives of everyday life, she often juxtaposes classical imagery with contemporary suburban elements, creating works that feel both timeless and familiar. Deeply connected to animals and nature, Lauren works from her bushland studio accompanied by music and her rescued rainbow lorikeet, Squishy, often singing alongside her.With more than 22 solo exhibitions to date, Wilhelm’s works are held in numerous private collections across Australia and have also been exhibited internationally in Italy, Spain, and New York. -
