Our newest artist to join the roster - Ortaire de Coupigny creates fascinating assemblages of mass-produced industrial parts from our everyday staple items, with his own hand-painted and cast fishes. The resulting artworks are bright, fun, and full of character - with no expiration date! These new artworks are on display at REDSEA Gallery, please swing by to check these works out in person.
Born in Michigan, Lydia received a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and pursued a dance career in New York City. A scholarship at the Merce Cunningham Studio School led her to perform with prominent modern dance troupes, though unfortunately her professional career was cut short by injury. Lydia then turned her focus fully to art. She studied at the University of Massachusetts before returning to New York to the Art Students League, where in her final year she won the prestigious Red Dot Award for Excellence in Painting.

The Embassy of Cost Rica held a cocktail evening event for their Independence Day celebration. Numerours Ambassadors and Singapore business leaders attended Costa Rica's memorable day and enjoyed Pierre Argillet's unique collection of works by Salvador Dali.
The tapestries and the porcelain plates are the stars of the exhibition as both were designed especially for two museums: Dali’s Teatro-Museo in Spain and Château de Vaux le Pénil in France. Art Republik takes a closer look at the beautifully chaotic works of Zhuang Hong Yi, Chinese- Dutch Contemporary artist. Living and working in two different environments, it is no surprise that his works take influence from both Chinese and European techniques. As an artist that embraces both the past and the present, his contemporary creations roots in the use of colours, themes, shapes and materials (specifically rice paper).
There is always going to be art that can be appreciated at face value, and art that will require several related degrees to even scratch the surface. Anna says "I loved creating stories as a child, and I think its interesting to think about what all these people are preoccupied with."

The series consists of twelve talks on iconic paintings and sculptures from Western art history. Chronological in approach, the talks can be enjoyed individually or taken as a whole to provide an understanding and appreciation of the development of art in the west. Explore the personalities of the artists and the exceptional works they created that captured the spirit and times in which they lived.
